A native New Yorker, Diane Romanello was born in 1944 on the West Side of Manhattan. A self-taught artist, she began showing her natural talent at a very young age and was encouraged by her older brother to pursue a career in the arts. Her paintings are characterized by a gracefulness that beckons the viewer into a dreamy landscape of an idealized world.

Seascapes, garden paths, or lakefronts in the countryside are some of Diane's most popular subjects. This coupled with the soothing color palette and luxurious brushstrokes of her work create a freshness that is quite unique. These images represent a special place in our mind's eye that conjure up cherished memories of times past.

The artist's aspiration is simply stated: "I want the viewer to feel as though they can step right into my work."
